What is an oicè session?

​

An oicè session is a calm, studio-based making experience centred around material exploration. Guests work with silk cord, natural stone and selected metal components to create a personal object to take home.

 

What is an oicè gathering?

​

An oicè gathering is a monthly hosted studio event designed for slower making, conversation and shared experience. Spaces are intentionally limited and include materials, light refreshments and snacks.

 

Do I need any previous experience?

No. Sessions and gatherings are designed for complete beginners and guidance is provided throughout.

 

What can I make?

Guests may choose to create a keyring, bracelet, phone charm or bag charm.

How long does a session last?

Sessions last up to 2 hours, allowing time to explore materials, composition and form at an unhurried pace.

 

How long does a gathering last?

​

Gatherings last up to 3 hours and include additional time for conversation, refreshments and a slower pace of making.

 

What materials are included?

​

Each session includes a silk cord foundation, a selection of natural stones and metal hardware components.

 

Can I add additional materials?

​

Yes. Optional material layers, including longer stone extensions, irregular stones and sterling silver elements, may be introduced during the making process.

​

Are all stones natural?

​

Our material selection includes natural stones such as agate, onyx, carnelian and obsidian, alongside selected glass elements.

​

How many people can attend?

​

Sessions are intentionally small, with a table size of up to 6 guests.

​

Can children attend?

​

Children aged 10 and over are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

​

Do I keep what I make?

​

Yes. Every piece created during a session or gathering is yours to take home.

​

Where do sessions and gatherings take place?

​

All sessions and gatherings take place at AKOEA in Sheffield.

Session Booking Policy

 

oicé Sessions bookings are non-refundable , booking may be transferred to another available session date with at least 48 hours notice. Please note, transfers can only be made once and are subject to availability.

Can I arrange a private gathering?

​

Yes. Private gatherings can be arranged for birthdays, creative celebrations, pre-wedding moments and small group experiences. For availability and enquiries, please contact hello@oicestudio.com

 

Can brands or businesses host a session with oicè?

Yes. oicè welcomes enquiries from brands, businesses and creative organisations interested in hosting a private session, team experience or collaborative event.
